Business Development Director, Food Nutrition and Health - Auckland University
Laurence has been in the Food Industry for over 30 years. Starting with Abel's margarine in the 1970's, he has subsequently worked for The New Zealand Dairy Board, APV, Bluebird Foods, Massey University, NZ Dairy Foods and more recently Fonterra Brands.
He is currently employed by Auckland University as Business Development Director, Food Nutrition and Health - an Industry liaison role, to maximise interactions in research with the Food and related industries.
He is a fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Food Science and Technology and a regular contributor to Oils and Fats News in Food New Zealand a role arising out of his chairmanship of the NZIC Oils and Fats specialist group.
He is also a Board member of FSANZ being one of three NZ representatives on the 12 person board and was until recently a board member of the Packaging Council of New Zealand (Inc).
