Membership of the Packaging Council is through payment of an annual subscription fee. The level of the subscription is related to your industry sector and turnover.
We have five industry sectors:

Suppliers of raw materials to the packaging industry. |

Packaging Manufactuers |
Manufacturers and importers of packaging. |
| Sector C |
Packaging Users |
Packaging users & fillers and importers of packed products, e.g. brand owners. |
| Sector D |
Product Sellers |
Distributers, wholesalers and retailers of packed products, e.g. supermarkets and general merchandise stores. |
| Sector E |
Service Providers |
Service providers, e.g. recyclers and waste services providers. |
The subscription year runs from 1 October to 30 September. New members will be invoiced on a pro rata basis in their first year.
Membership of the Packaging Council does not automatically confer membership of the Packaging Council's Packaging Product Stewardship Scheme.
To join the Packaging Product Stewardship Scheme, a company must first become a member of the Packaging Council and then formally 'opt in' to the Scheme. An additional Scheme Management Fee also applies (currently set at 10% of the subscription fee).
