Who should be a member & why

The Packaging Council of New Zealand is the advocacy group representing the whole packaging life cycle and is open to any organisation wanting to learn more about:

  • opportunities and threats of green consumerism
  • product stewardship & consumer engagement
  • sustainable packaging design
  • the vital role of an efficient supply chain
  • packaging waste reduction & resource recovery

Many businesses are searching for help and a key role of the Packaging Council is to help make sustainability real for your business.  Many organisations are now asking what can they do, what tools are available, what is everyone else doing, and how can they benchmark themselves?

If your business is asking these questions, then it's time to talk to the Packaging Council.  We are a great source, not just of information, but also of support.  We can help you leverage our networks to best effect and advise you on the key steps to making sustainability real for your business:

  • Getting commitment from your leadership
  • Getting the key people together
  • Looking at your design processes
  • Evaluating your logistics
  • Collecting and reporting site waste and recycling data
  • Communicating your successes
