Packaging Recycling in New Zealand



New Zealanders consume about 730 thousand tonnes of packaging every year, but recycle only about half of it.

The crazy thing is that over 95% of New Zealanders have
access to facilities to recycle paper, glass, cans and
plastics 1 and 2 (and in some places 1 - 7).

Whilst the packaging industry and government are working
on ways to reduce and recycle packaging waste…
