Cardboard, paper, glass, metals (food tins, drink cans, jar lids, wine bottle screw tops) plastics 1 and 2 (and in many places 1 - 7)
can
be recycled in most areas.
Check with your local council to find out what
can be recycled in your area.

ABOUT PLASTIC RECYCLING
You may be able to put out plastics if you have kerbside recycling and most landfills and transfer stations have bins for recycling plastic.
Most areas recycle plastics type 1 and 2 and some areas take other types as well.

ABOUT GLASS RECLYCLING
You may be able to put out glass if you have kerbside recycling and some landfills and transfer stations have bins for recycling glass.
Remember, you can only put glass packaging in the recycling bin - you can't put in light bulbs, drinking glasses, mugs, cookware or window glass.

ABOUT PAPER RECYCLING
You are able to recycle all paper or cardboard if you have kerbside recycling and most landfills and transfer stations have bins for recycling paper and cardboard.
Remember, you can't recycle paper or cardboard contaminated with other materials (like pizza boxes).

ABOUT STEEL & ALUMINIUM CAN RECYCLING
Steel and aluminium cans are 100% recyclable - food, beverage, aerosol, paint and oil cans.
You may be able to put out steel and aluminium cans if you have
kerbside recycling and most landfills and transfer stations have bins
for recycling cans.
